FBI Busts 28 in Nevada for Trafficking
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that countering human trafficking is a high priority for the agency. In conjunction with state and local agencies, the FBI arrested 28 men in a week-long FBI sting in south Reno – one of the larger busts the FBI said they have made.
Aaron Rouse, Special Agent in Charge, Las Vegas, said: “I would love there to be a day where this is not necessary, but those people who are going to target our youth -- they are not going to get away with it.”
According to Rouse, this is just the first step in a longer operation to crack down on trafficking.
Rouse would not comment on specific cases because he said it may prejudice a jury and there are still expected to be ongoing FBI operations.
